Data Solutions Analyst
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data Solutions Analyst to support data, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives across multiple business domains.
The successful candidate will work closely with business and technology stakeholders to understand source systems, analyse and profile data, define source-to-target mappings, document business rules and requirements, contribute to data model design, and deliver accurate, high-quality Power BI reporting solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform data analysis, profiling, and validation across multiple source systems.
- Write and execute SQL queries to investigate, validate, and reconcile data.
- Develop and maintain Source-to-Target Mappings (STTMs).
- Analyse source systems and data structures to support data integration and reporting initiatives.
- Document business rules, data requirements, transformation logic, and functional requirements.
- Contribute to the design and development of data models and semantic models.
- Develop and support Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models.
- Perform data quality checks, reconciliation testing, and data validation.
- Identify data discrepancies, investigate root causes, and support the resolution of data quality issues.
- Engage with business and technology stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.
- Facilitate workshops and discussions to gather requirements, clarify business rules, and align stakeholders.
- Collaborate with technical teams, data engineers, developers, and business users to ensure accurate and fit-for-purpose data solutions.
