Change Manager

We are seeking a Senior Change Manager with deep experience in corporate and investment banking to lead and drive enterprise-wide change initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and executing structured change strategies that enable successful adoption of strategic programmes, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum business value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end change management strategies for large-scale transformation initiatives within a corporate banking environment.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders, including executives, programme leads, and business heads, to align change initiatives with business objectives.
  • Conduct impact assessments, stakeholder analysis, and change readiness evaluations.
  • Develop and implement change frameworks, communication plans, and stakeholder engagement strategies.
  • Drive user adoption, behavioral change, and cultural alignment across business units.
  • Manage resistance and provide coaching to leadership teams and impacted employees.
  • Ensure alignment with governance, risk, and compliance requirements within a banking environment.
  • Track and report on change metrics, adoption rates, and business outcomes.
  • Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and leadership briefings.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, HR, or a related field (Postgraduate qualification advantageous).
  • Recognized Change Management certification (e.g., Prosci, APMG, or equivalent).
  • 8–12+ years’ experience in change management, with a strong focus on corporate/investment banking.
  • Proven track record of delivering change across large, complex financial services programmes.
  • Strong understanding of corporate banking operations, products, and regulatory environments.
  • Experience working within structured delivery environments (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).

  • Experience within South African banking institutions, particularly corporate or investment banking.
  • Exposure to digital transformation, system implementations, or regulatory change programmes.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or change analytics platforms.
