Job Profile Summary

The Agile Coach is responsible for driving and enabling the organization, teams, and individuals to adopt Agile practices, values, and mindsets. This role focuses on fostering collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement to deliver better business outcomes, solutions, and customer-focused products/services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and continuously refine Agile adoption across the relevant business unit.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across multiple functional areas to promote collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Provide Agile training to new staff and upskill existing teams through ongoing, modular training initiatives.
  • Coach teams on Agile best practices and frameworks, including Disciplined Agile Delivery (DAD).
  • Support teams in implementing Agile rituals such as iteration planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
  • Facilitate key Agile ceremonies, workshops, and sessions (e.g., retrospectives, conflict resolution, decision-making, and project kick-offs).
  • Drive continuous improvement by fostering a culture of feedback, learning, and high performance.
  • Assist leadership and delivery teams in developing and executing plans to improve Agile maturity.
  • Track and report on key Agile metrics (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) to monitor team performance and delivery.
  • Provide regular feedback to management on team performance, risks, and potential challenges.
  • Ensure retrospectives are conducted consistently to support team improvement.
  • Promote innovation and effective collaboration across cross-functional, high-performing teams.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks and methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean, Extreme Programming, Disciplined Agile Delivery).
  • Proven experience coaching and mentoring Agile teams.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to influence organisational change and drive Agile transformation.
  • Experience tracking Agile metrics and improving team performance.
